Sam and Lorraine, from Hampshire, adopted nine-year-old Charlie after he had spent more than 500 days in an RSPCA rescue centre in Somerset waiting for his forever home
A couple who adopted ‘Britain’s loneliest dog’ say the latest addition to their family has also given them a new lease of life.
Sam and Lorraine from Hampshire adopted nine-year-old Charlie after he had spent more than 500 days in an RSPCA rescue centre in Somerset.
After hundreds of families had passed him by, Charlie had been languishing in the centre desperately hoping to eventually find his forever home.
Meanwhile, Sam spotted an advert for Charlie on his phone over breakfast one morning – before showing wife Lorraine Charlie’s picture. Both agreed they “had to have him”.
