 Grace Black (Tamara Wall) broke down in tears in Hollyoaks after Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) left her a hurtful voicemail, telling her that she wanted nothing more to do with her. The gangster, as fans will know, is currently in prison after the police arrested her for her role in the heist last month, a crime she carried out with Cindy and Zara Morgan (Kelly Condon). Refusing to let Cindy and Grace be implicated, Grace took the blame for the crime and thus will face the consequences. Cindy, meanwhile, hasn't really given Grace a second thought since the heist, with subsequent scenes confirming that she has stopped taking her bipolar medication. Friday's (July 7) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap saw Grace phone Cindy, who was supposed to take Curtis to come and visit her, berating her for not following through on her promise. Cindy, however, was dismissive, telling Grace that she's busy with other things, as she arranged a date with Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) and uncharacteristically sold the market – forging Tom's (Ellis Hollins) signature on the document. Grace, meanwhile, was similarly heartbroken after receiving a voicemail from Cindy, who ordered her to stop calling.
