Ohio: Woman ‘permanently injured’ from metal piece that flew off rollercoaster

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

A woman who was injured by the world’s second-tallest rollercoaster has filed a lawsuit against the amusement park.

Rachel Hawes, a 45-year-old woman who was injured by Cedar Point’s Top Thrill Dragster in 2021 when a piece of metal struck her while she waited in line for the ride.

In August 2021, Hawes got in line to ride the Top Thrill Dragster on a trip to the park with her father, Robert Edmonds, and other members of her family.

As the family waited in line for the coaster, a large piece of metal flew off the ride overhead and struck Hawes.
