 Chelsea will demand a fee in excess of £50million to part with Conor Gallagher this summer following interest from Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou has identified the England ace as a replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is attracting interest from Atletico Madrid. Gallagher made 35 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last term, though 17 of those were as a substitute. The tenacious midfielder emerged from Chelsea's academy and was recalled to Stamford Bridge following an impressive loan spell with Crystal Palace in the 2021/22 season. Gallagher's high energy levels are likely to appeal to Mauricio Pochettino but Chelsea remain keen to recoup funds following a £600m outlay over the last 12 months. Tottenham are keen on capitalising on that, with the Telegraph saying Gallagher is a key target for Postecoglou. That's a figure Spurs are unlikely to be willing to pay, particularly as they've already strengthened in midfield in the form of the £40m purchase of James Maddison. But Chelsea have already shown a willingness to deal with Premier League rivals this summer. The Blues have sanctioned the departures of Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount to Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
