NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Richard Bacon has hit out at Jeremy Vine after he urged the BBC presenter at the centre of a scandal to reveal his identity.
The suspended presenter has been accused of paying £35,000 for sexual images from a teenager, while further young people have come forward to claim he sent ‘threatening’ messages and broke lockdown rules to meet them.
As speculation mounted over the identity of the BBC star, many presenters including Jeremy, Nicky Campbell and Rylan Clark, spoke out to deny it was them.
Jeremy, 52, has also called for the accused presenter to come forward publicly explaining allegations ‘will result in yet more vitriol being thrown at perfectly innocent colleagues of his’ and harm the BBC’s reputation.
