 A teenage boy has denied wounding a teacher following a stabbing at a Gloucestershire school. The 15-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons, appeared at Cheltenham magistrates court today. He pleaded not guilty to section 18 wounding with intent, but has pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article on school premises. Teacher Jamie Sansom suffered a single stab wound in a school corridor on Monday morning. The incident led to the school being locked down for several hours, however it reopened to pupils on Tuesday. The 15-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared at Cheltenham magistrates court today.
He pleaded not guilty to section 18 wounding with intent, but has pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article on school premises.
He spoke only to confirm his name, age, address and enter his pleas, and his parents were sat in the back of the court for the hearing.
