 Two executives at a youth soccer league were arrested and charged with stealing over $91,000 from the organization. Kathleen Murawski, the former president of the Old Bridge Soccer League based in suburban Old Bridge, New Jersey was arrested for the brazen theft on Monday, local police said. She was arrested alongside her husband, Joseph Murawski, who served as the league's field director. The couple face charges of theft of a movable object over $75,000, credit card fraud, and conspiracy. 'It was determined that the couple made unauthorized withdrawals of money from the league's accounts to fund personal purchases,' the OBPD said in a news release. According to police, the Murawskis used the money for vacations, including a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They also used the money for an 'extravagant party for their child,' items on Amazon, and to pay utility bills on their home. The arrests were made only after an OBPD detective completed a 'comprehensive,' six-month-long investigation into the theft. According to her LinkedIn page, Kathleen Murawski served as the president of Old Bridge Soccer League since 2015. Before that, she served as the organization's secretary from 2011 – 2015. It is unclear when Murawski stepped down as president. OBPD said the couple recently relocated to Manalapan, New Jersey before their arrest.
