David de Gea recently became the latest in a long line of legendary figures to depart Manchester United.
After failing to come to an agreement over a new contract at Old Trafford, the Spaniard announced earlier this week that he was leaving the club after a hugely successful 12-year stint. It was an announcement that took some supporters aback, with some feeling they had been deprived of the chance to say goodbye to De Gea properly.
