A BRITISH holidaymaker has been arrested at Majorca’s Palma Airport after allegedly raping his girlfriend at their hotel on the island.
The 38-year-old was held as he tried to fly home after his 24-year-old partner went to Spanish police to say he had forced himself on her in the bathroom of their hotel room.
The alleged sex attack occurred around 6am yesterday at a three-star hotel near the resort of Magaluf according to local press.
The airport arrest was made by Civil Guard officers around 11am local time the same morning.
The unnamed suspect is expected to appear in court later today following a night in a police cell so a judge can decide how to proceed.
