Some people outside Activision have already seen this year’s new Call Of Duty, as Activision show the game off at the NBA Summer League.
The public reveal for Call Of Duty 2023 is likely only weeks away now, as Activision has already demonstrated the game to a bunch of NBA basketball players in the US, during a promotional event in Las Vegas.
This is not the first time they’ve done something like this, as last year Modern Warfare 2 was debuted to a group of NFL players. Although it’s not clear what Activision gains from such an exercise as nothing substantial has leaked out in either instance.
Footage of people milling about outside the event has appeared online, but the only playable games seem to be Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone – suggesting they were probably only shown a trailer.
Although nothing official has been announced it’s widely believed that this year’s game is called Modern Warfare 3, with even the judge in the Xbox vs. FTC case referring to it as that.
