But lead Marc continued to be a hit: "Good Sunday night viewing but some of the acting and script is dreadful. Marc Warren is excellent as #VanDerValk." It looks like some viewers' comments have been answered, as the Dutch detective has been teased to be coming for a fourth season. Although ITV is yet to officially announce if the show is returning, TVZone UK has reported that an online production listing points to the team reuniting for another show cycle. Adding that, it will go into production this Spring, with season four set to air next year. The third season followed detective Piet Van der Valk (Warren) and Inspector Lucienne Hassell (McCoy) as they solved new cases involving drug smuggling, a cold case dating back 20 years and a supernatural killing. The Hustle and Snatch star Marc had previously told Radio Times that he'd "certainly be interested in doing" another series, so fans will have to keep a watchful eye out for more news.
