Ange Postecoglou has said that he wants Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer but admits he has been given no assurances by the club about the striker’s future.
Spurs have rejected a second offer from Bayern Munich for Kane, in the region of £70 million. In his first press conference as Tottenham’s new head coach, Postecoglou said he will speak to Kane when he returns to Hotspur Way on Wednesday.
“I don’t think it’s my role to sit there and treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I’m big on treating everyone the same,” Postecoglou said. “Harry has already entrenched himself in the history of this football club. He’s one of the premier players in the world. I want him here.
