A Just Stop Oil protester threw orange confetti at newly weds George Osborne and Thea Rogers moments after their wedding ceremony in Bruton, Somerset
A Just Stop Oil protester gatecrashed George Osborne’s wedding day and threw confetti over the happy couple, as the group joked on Twitter they “looked good in orange.”
The 52-year-old ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer married his former Treasury adviser Thea Rogers in a ceremony in Bruton, Somerset, earlier today in front of friends including David Cameron and his wife Samantha.
However, it was an uninvited guest who ended up making the headlines as a woman with grey hair was seen approaching the newly weds from behind as the wedding bells rang before throwing orange confetti over them both.
It was originally unclear if the prank was related to eco-group Just Stop Oil (JSO) who earlier this week sprinkled similar confetti over Court 18 at Wimbledon, interrupting the match involving British number one Katie Boulter.
