 Six people have died after a small plane crashed into a field and caused a huge fire. A Cessna C550 business jet was engulfed in flames after it came down in southern California, USA. Around one acre of vegetation caught alight following the crash near an airport in the city of Murrieta in south-west Riverside County, between Los Angeles and San Diego. The flight had taken off from the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas before the shocking incident, which reportedly happened as it approached the runway in Murrieta. Emergency services rushed to the scene at round 4.15am local time (12.15pm UK time). All six people on board were tragically pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the burning aircraft was found, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The identities of those killed in the crash have not been released. It is the second fatal crash this week at the small county-owned airport in Murrieta, home to about 112,000 residents. A man was killed and three people were injured on Tuesday when a single-engine Cessna 172 crashed in a parking lot shortly after take-off from French Valley.
