And with a £29billion fortune he built from nothing – some of which he wants to spend buying Man Utd – you would think Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be a valued adviser for Rishi Sunak and his Cabinet.

Yet today he reveals he has given up offering Ministers the benefit of his insight.
