Kelsea Ballerini cries on-stage before emotional divorce song and says ‘it doesn’t hurt’

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini broke down in tears on-stage before she crooned her emotional hit thought to be about her divorce, with her admitting to fans that ‘it doesn’t hurt anymore’

Kelsea Ballerini broke down while singing one of her emotional hits thought to be about her divorce from Morgan Evans, although she claims “it doesn’t hurt anymore”.

The 29-year-old Hole In The Bottle singer split from fellow country star Morgan Evans, 38, last summer after five years together. She then went on to release an EP on Valentine’s Day that told her side of the story.

Rolling Up The Welcome Mat is her EP which is said to be about her divorce from Morgan, with the record containing hits like Penthouse, Just Married, Blindsided and Mountain With A View. In all of the songs Kelsea sings candidly about her marriage and subsequent divorce.

Taking to Twitter, fan page KelseaCentral shared a video from a recent gig Kelsea did, with them penning: “Kelsea got emotional during Penthouse last night and she explained why… to put it simply, ‘it doesn’t hurt anymore’.” In the video, the country star could be seen tearing up and getting visibly choked up by the way in which the audience screamed the lyrics back to her.
