In all of the songs Kelsea sings candidly about her marriage and subsequent divorce. Taking to Twitter, fan page KelseaCentral shared a video from a recent gig Kelsea did, with them penning: "Kelsea got emotional during Penthouse last night and she explained why… to put it simply, 'it doesn't hurt anymore'." In the video, the country star could be seen tearing up and getting visibly choked up by the way in which the audience screamed the lyrics back to her. Kelsea then spoke to the crowd after gaining composure and admitted that when she put the EP out in February she didn't have any intention of performing the songs live. She said: "I really didn't want to, because it hurt," but then added: "And it doesn't anymore." She then went on to say how she was crying because she was "so thankful" that the fans made her start singing the songs. Kelsea then reflected on how since the first time she played songs from her EP in Manchester, England, back in February it felt different to how it does now. Fans were quick to comment on the emotional video, with one writing: "This was such a sweet moment omg."
