Arsenal risk seeing Man Utd capitalising on £30m move after Declan Rice signs

Arsenal are running the risk of Manchester United snapping up one of Mikel Arteta’s stars this summer in Thomas Partey. The Gunners are reportedly ready to sell the Ghanaian amid contract issues, with Juventus and Saudi Arabia previously thought to be the frontrunners for his signature. However, The Sun have claimed that Erik ten Hag is showing an interest in Partey, while Arsenal are prepared to let him leave this summer. The 30-year-old has just two years left on his current contract at the Emirates, if they are unable to come to terms on a new deal then this summer may be the perfect time to get a reasonable transfer fee for the midfielder. Arsenal are set to complete the £105million signing of Declan Rice once the final touches on the deal are sealed and he has undergone a medical, further waining Partey’s influence on the team potentially and making the Gunners more open to a sale. It was thought that Partey would move abroad as Juventus and Saudi Arabia had emerged as the contenders, but CBS Sports have reported that the midfielder has informed interested clubs in the Middle East that he is not considering a move to the region.
