Coronation Street star Denise Black rushed to hospital after brutal fall

Coronation Street ‘s Denise Black had been rushed to A&E following a dramatic fall that broke both her arm and her foot. The 65-year-old chose not to worry fans as she only revealed her brutal injuries after she was well into recovery. The actress, who played Denise Osbourne in the iconic soap, shared some snaps of her X-rays on social media and took the opportunity to thank the doctors and nurses who had helped her after the accident. The actress shared in an Instagram post: ‘Now I’m mending I can tell you. I broke my wonky arm.’ Denise was born with a condition that left the muscles in her right arm deformed as her fingers crossed over each other in a tightly balled fist. I am that joke. “Humungous shout out to doctors and nurses far and wide, very especially our beloved NHS. “You make humans seem like GOOD people. Great news is I’m still filming. Even better news is I’m mending. “Sure, I may be wonkier than before, but in truth, aren’t all the best people? Inside and out #embraceyourwonkiness #thankyounhs.” (sic) Fans quickly flooded the comments section as many wished the actress a ‘speedy recovery’. The soap legend, who also appeared as Joanie Dingle for five years on Emmerdale , is currently filming a new Disney+ series. Denise is in good company on her newest venture, with the likes of David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Emila Atack and Danny Dyer also set to star in Rivals. It’s not uncommon for the actress to only reveal her health woes once they are ‘on the mend’, or even fully healed. In early 2020, Denise addressed fans’ concerns as they had seen pictures of the actress using a walking stick, writing in her blog: ‘Well news is, it’s GONE! Two new hips and I’m officially bionic.”
