Jeremy Vine DENIES he is the BBC presenter accused of paying teenager for explicit images

Hours on from Rylan Clark issuing a similar statement, Radio 2 DJ Jeremy Vine has hit out at claims he is the unnamed BBC presenter who is subject to an internal investigation after allegedly paying a teenager £35,000 for sexually explicit photos

Jeremy Vine has become the latest BBC star to deny being the presenter who allegedly paid a teenager more than £35,000 for sexually explicit pictures.

Vine – who hosts a show on BBC Radio 2 – said “it certainly ain’t me” after it was claimed an unnamed star at the state-funded broadcaster has been accused of handing over cash sums in return for explicit images from the teenager when they were 17 years old.

The mother of the alleged recipient claims her teenager used the cash to fund an addiction to crack cocaine and she blames the mystery presenter for ‘destroying her child’s life.’

The BBC reports that the presenter in question is not scheduled to be on air in the next few days but the corporation is understood to be looking into the claims.
