He had previously said: "Self defense can be unavoidable, but the defense of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable." Following their posts, The Mirror broke that Spears had actually accidentally "hit herself," according to the police report. While Wembanyama's guard pushed her hand away, surveillance footage revealed that he did not slap the singer. Asghari also said: "I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred." Spears claimed on Instagram that the guard "back handed her... without looking back."
