Warner Bros defends Barbie movie over controversial Vietnam map

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Warner Bros has jumped to the defense of the image of a map that caused the upcoming Barbie movie to be banned in Vietnam.

The eagerly-anticipated film, starring Margot Robbie in the titular role and Ryan Gosling as Ken, will see the beloved Mattel doll enter the real world for the first time on an epic journey of self-discovery.

Pink fever has taken hold and fans are pumped for the film’s release, which has been pitted against Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

However, moviegoers in Vietnam won’t be able to watch the film after as it has been banned for reportedly containing a scene depicting a map showing what appeared to be the ‘nine-dash line.’
