Rowan Atkinson has been gracing Britons’ TV screens for decades in a plethora of roles. He first came to prominence in the BBC sketch comedy show Not the Nine O’Clock News. Since then, he has starred in the film series Johnny English and has featured in the James Bond film, Never Say Never, The Lion King, Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral. The 68-year-old was born in Consett, County Durham but has spent 28 years living in South Oxfordshire. The actor bought the 1930s English home – Handsmooth House – and the 16 acres of land surrounding it for a whopping £2.6million in 2006. He bought the property with his ex-wife Sunetra Sastry who he was married to for 24 years. The couple divorced in November 2015.
