Mick Schumacher says he is determined to return to the Formula One grid after losing his seat at Haas for 2023.
On Thursday morning, it was announced that Haas would not be renewing Schumacher’s contract, with former Renault and Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg replacing him.
Schumacher, the son of legendary seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, has endured a difficult time in the sport since his debut last year.
In 2021, Haas’ car was hopelessly uncompetitive and the team failed to score a single point, but while their 2022 machine was a big improvement, the 23-year-old failed to make the most of the opportunity, though performances did improve as the season progressed.
