Hector Bellerin rated Barcelona’s worst signing as Arsenal issue resurfaces

Former Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has endured a torrid time of things since signing for Barcelona and fans have had their say on the right-back’s stint at Camp Nou

Former Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been labelled as Barcelona ‘s worst signing of the summer as his future grows increasingly uncertain.

The Spaniard signed for the La Liga giants in the summer having terminated the remaining year on his Gunners contract. He penned a one-year deal with his boyhood club but the homecoming hasn’t gone the way Bellerin or Barcelona expected.

The 27-year-old has been restricted to just five appearances during the first half of the campaign and only three of those have been starts. In fact, the right-back has played a total of 20 league minutes since mid-September due to injury and having been benched for the last four matches.

Bellerin’s woes have been compounded after Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo asked fans to assess Barcelona’s summer business. Robert Lewandowski unsurprisingly comes out on top with an average rating of 9.32 out of 10 after hitting 18 goals in his first 19 outings for the club.
