McLaren unveil new livery design from Lebanese artist for Abu Dhabi GP finale

Following on from their change of livery in Abu Dhabi last season, McLaren’s Driven by Change initiative returns again this weekend with a brand new design for the MCL36

McLaren cars will bear a striking one-off livery for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend.

At last year’s edition of the race, the Woking-based team raced with a different livery as part of their Driven by Change campaing. And, in partnership with Vuse – a brand owned by the team’s sponsor BAT – the initiative returns again for this year.

McLaren unveiled the chosen livery for this weekend’s race this week. It features designs from emerging Lebanese artist Anna Tangles, with her unique linear style mixed with the recognisable colours seen on the team’s cars all year, the ‘papaya’ orange and blue.

Instead of the usual block colours, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo will be in a car which features an intricate pattern – though it will still be very much recognisable as a McLaren car.
