The Pilot in Coventry has lost its music license after a local resident compared the noise coming from the pub to being tortured, and raised concerns about anti-social behaviour
A pub has been stripped of its music license after a local resident complained that the noise levels were like being tortured in prison, who also claimed that the loud music was so bad it forced neighbours to move out of the area.
Eight noise complaints were made against The Pilot Hotel in Holbrooks, Coventry in the last eight months, and residents also reported anti-social behaviour in the pub’s beer garden.
The pub is now no longer permitted to play live or recorded music and has been asked to relocate its beer garden, which had been moved from its original area near a different road.
Council officers had been called out to the pub repeatedly following complaints from angry residents and found that the pub was causing a disturbance because it had failed to close one of its doors, CoventryLive reports.
