The La Liga giants are reportedly keeping an eye on the teenager, with his contract situation yet to be resolved.Patino made his debut for Arsenal in a Carabao Cup tie against Sunderland last December. He scored on his brief cameo role off the bench and was handed his first start in the FA Cup loss at Nottingham Forest a couple of weeks later.Mikel Arteta deemed it necessary for his development to head out on loan this season and he is currently impressing at Blackpool. Supporters of the Tangerines have fallen in love with the midfielder and created their own song for him.However, his situation at his parent club remains clear. The Gunners could also offer the player a new deal entirely on improved terms than the two-year extension would offer.But there is currently no movement and Italian outlet Calcio Mercato says Barcelona are tracking the player’s situation. Patino’s dad is Spanish and one of his childhood heroes was the Barca legend Andres Iniesta.If Arsenal do not move quickly to tie up Patino’s future, they may risk losing him to Barca or another interested team. Patino joined Arsenal from Luton in 2015 after he was scouted by the club.He is regarded as the next big thing to come out of the Hale End academy, where the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe came through.
