Ronaldo’s stance on working with Phil Neville amid Gary Neville row

Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to link up with former Manchester United team-mate Phil Neville for his next club as he looks to make a swift exit from the Premier League giants, according to reports. The Portuguese superstar may be offered the chance to join MLS outfit Inter Miami, who are co-owned by David Beckham and coached by Neville, as he searches for a route out of Old Trafford.The 37-year-old is expected to leave United in January when the World Cup concludes after giving an explosive interview containing several criticisms of the club and how it is run. Ronaldo accused head coach Erik ten Hag of “betraying” and hit out at the Glazer family for failing to support the club with new developments.Ronaldo has been linked heavily with a switch to the United States in the past before opting to rejoin United in August 2021. Despite the pair’s recent fallout, it is understood working with Miami boss Neville is not thought to be an issue.Miami were initially interested in bringing Argentina star Lionel Messi to the club in 2023 after his PSG contract expires after fellow co-owner Jorge Mas engaged in negotiations with Messi’s father.
