According to Musk, Twitter will become an engineer-driven company in the future. The email explained that 'those writing great code will constitute the majority of our team and have the greatest sway.' Within his first hours as the boss of Twitter, Musk began getting rid of people. He fired top executives including CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde. Elon Musk has told whatever remaining staff Twitter has to commit to a new ‘hardcore’ workload or quit.
In an email sent to staff, Twitter’s new owner explained the company ‘will need to be extremely hardcore’ going forward.
The world’s richest man explained this ‘will mean working long hours at high intensity,’ and ‘only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade.’
According to the email, seen by the Washington Post, employees were then told they would have to sign a pledge to keep working at the company.
