Spain’s Canary Islands introduce strict new tourist fines

The Spanish region is a popular holiday destination and includes Puerto de Mogán, a top package holiday hotspot.Tourists and residents will no longer be able to hang clothes over balconies to dry under the new rules.They will also be forbidden from being in the street while ‘partially naked’. The rules are designed to crackdown on booze tourism.British tourists will now be subject to a drinks limit at all-inclusive resorts and there is also a ban on booze cruises.The rules aren’t in place throughout the whole islands and are focused on particular resorts such as Magaluf.Magaluf is attempting to change its reputation for hedonism and attract a different type of tourist.
