VIEWERS of ITV may well have noticed some slight differences to their usual viewing experience yesterday – and it is here to stick around.
Eagle-eyed TV fans will have noticed that ITV has done a huge branding u-turn as it has switched back to its former name ITV1 in a huge new shake-up.
The update is part of a brand new plan to update the logos across the whole of the ITV channels ahead of the launch of their brand new streaming service ITVX.
The other channels under the ITV umbrella will keep their existing names with the main channel reclaiming the 1 to be ITV1 as it has been in the past.
Speaking of the new look, Jane Stiller, ITV’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Everything will look and feel modern and relevant, with each platform or channel having a simple twist.”
