Putin to ‘strip passports of anyone who criticises the war with Ukraine’

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Vladimir Putin is ramping up his efforts to silence those criticising his war in Ukraine.

Days after his humiliating defeat in Kherson, the Russian president has proposed amendments to a bill that would enable the government to strip passports from non-birth citizens opposing the invasion.

Among the actions he claimed constituted ‘crimes’ were ‘spreading fakes’ about the war or ‘discrediting the Russian army’.

The changes apparently target Ukrainians forced to obtain passports during the occupation, the Kyiv Independent reported.
