A SCHOOLGIRL and a motorbike rider were killed by a speeding Tesla after the driver claimed it raced of control.
Horror footage showed the white Model-Y careering down the street in the southern province of Guangdong in China, dodging motorists and pedestrians before smashing into a building.
The crash on November 5 killed a motorcyclist and a high school girl and injured three other people, including the Tesla driver, Jimu News reports.
The 55-year-old driver claimed there was an issue with his brakes before the fatal smash – but Tesla has disputed the allegations.
The company, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, confirmed on Sunday it was assisting police in Chaozhou city with the investigation into the incident.
