Mount has been in negotiations with the club since last summer but there has been no breakthrough
Mason Mount is set to enter the last 18 months of his Chelsea deal without agreeing new terms after stalemate in contract talks over extending his time at Stamford Bridge.
The England midfielder, 23, has been in discussions since the summer over fresh terms at the club he has spent his entire career, although there has yet to be a breakthrough.
It is understood to be work to be done to get closer to an agreement, with Chelsea keen on one of their key players committing their future to the club and hopeful he will eventually follow his international team-mate Reece James in signing.
Mount has started every Premier League game under new manager Graham Potter, who has seen him as an important part of the team he is building since his appointment in September.
