McCann has picked up consecutive spinning-elbow knockouts this year and she looks to continue her impressive run against Erin Blanchfield tonight in New York
Molly McCann looks to continue her impressive UFC run tonight in New York against arguably her toughest opponent to date in talented wrestler Erin Blanchfield.
McCann has turned her UFC career around since being on the brink of an exit from the promotion after losing back-to-back fights. Starting with a win against Ji Yeon Kim last September, she is unbeaten in three fights after landing consecutive spinning elbow knockouts against Luana Carolina and Hannah Goldy this year.
Blanchfield is yet to suffer defeat in the UFC and the 23-year-old is the betting favourite against McCann despite the Liverpudlian’s recent form. ‘Cold Blooded’ believes her wrestling will be too much for former amateur boxing standout McCann, so here’s all you need to know about their fight…
McCann is appearing on the second fight the UFC 281 prelim card, which starts at 1am on Sunday morning. It means that you can expect McCann to make her ring walk around 1:30am, with the fight starting just after that time. Depending on the length of the fight before McCann’s on the prelims, she could be in action slightly earlier or later.
