Is Welsh flyer Louis Rees-Zammit the dream ticket at full-back?

The 21-year-old will be deployed in a role he has only performed twice for Gloucester as Wayne Pivac throws the dice

“Deadly.” That was Alex Cuthbert’s response to how he thinks Louis Rees-Zammit will fare at full-back. “Just imagine if they decide to kick long to Zam and are a bit loose,” Cuthbert added. “You just wouldn’t, would you?”

Wales need every positive image they can muster, as the national team goes into this encounter with Argentina desperate to avoid losing four home matches in succession for the first time in a decade.

And in the Rees-Zammit switch from the wing to No 15, Cuthbert is not alone in believing there exist glorious possibilities to drag Wayne Pivac’s men from a malaise further darkened by yet another New Zealand shellacking.

“In this position, Louis could be the answer to our dreams,” Shane Williams says. “You don’t know until you try.”
