A SHERIFF has ruled a fantasist who nearly died of Covid in a Glasgow hospital IS Nicholas Rossi – a sex fiend wanted by cops in America.
The 35-year-old’s fake persona of a wheelchair-bound Irish orphan was demolished by a wave of overwhelming evidence heard at an extradition hearing in Edinburgh this week.
The man, wanted for rapes in Utah and other sex and fraud offences in three other states, faked his death and began a new life in the UK as “Arthur Knight”.
But the beast, who uses 16 aliases, was found after a global manhunt that led Interpol to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was in a coma on a ventilator, a story first revealed in this newspaper.
The fugitive was identified using fingerprints, tattoos and mugshots – but the scheming creep claimed he’d been tattooed while in a coma and his prints had been stolen while he was laid up on the ward.
