Just Stop Oil activist forced to apologise to M25 driver who missed…

Ms Brown claimed that she believed Just Stop Oil’s actions were proportionate but still felt the need to apologise for the distress caused to the man who could not attend his father’s funeral.  The climate change activist pushed back at BBC host Mishal Husain when asked why ordinary Britons had to pay a personal price for the disruptions. Ms Brown compared the controversial activist group’s tactics to a nurse and rail strike. Just Stop Oil announced that they would be pausing their ongoing demonstrations today and will be suspended their campaign on the M25.Ms Husain said: “With the impact of the action that you chose to take in recent days has included a man who missed his father’s funeral because the motorway was blocked.”He had to call his mother, to say he wouldn’t be able to make it in time for his father’s funeral because he was in gridlock on the M25. How do you feel about that?”Ms Brown told BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme: “I feel really terrible about that! And I think it’s really upsetting that these things are happening and that this level of disruption is being caused.”Because obviously, people have got important things to get to, but I do think that the action is proportionate. I mean, Mishal have you seen the…”Ms Husain added: “You think it’s proportionate for him to of missed his father’s funeral?”Ms Brown said: “I think it’s proportionate to the potential deaths of millions of people, and a billion climate refugees in the next 20 years. You actually alienate yourselves on this.
