Paul Burrell slams Princess Diana’s ‘wounded portrayal’ after The Crown release

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Paul Burrell has branded the latest season of The Crown as ‘very upsetting’ due to Princess Diana’s portrayal.

The Crown series 5 will cover the tumultuous 1990s, including the divorces of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales – as well as Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips.

While the former Prince and Princess of Wales’ divorce wasn’t finalised until 1996, the announcement of a separation in 1992 triggered a chain of events that included the uncovering of recorded phone calls between Charles and Camilla, explicitly exposing their affair.

There were also several public interviews on both sides detailing their rocky relationship, including the now notorious Diana interview with Martin Bashir in which she declared there were ‘three people in her marriage’.
