Hero granddad’s pedantry could see thousands of road fines overturned

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

A man has won his appeal against a £70 fine for using a bus lane, arguing it was because of ‘poor signage’.

Like hundreds of drivers before him, Ian Bisset got caught in the bus gate camera situated at the junction of Grove Road and Brazengate, in Norwich, this summer.

The 80-year-old had never seen the ‘vague and poorly situated’ sign even though he had driven through the area multiple times before.

Mr Bisset, from Ipswich, Suffolk, successfully challenged his fine and is now urging other drivers to do the same.
