Manchester City will have the most representation in England’s 26-man squad as the Sky Blues beat Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal in the race for the most representation in the group. Pep Guardiola’s side are will have four players representing the Three Lions in Qatar one more than their other Premier League rivals as Gareth Southgate confirms his players for the tournament. England will take 26 men to the showpiece event later this month with Harry Kane once again captaining the side. The squad is spread throughout the Premier League but it is City who have the most call-ups in the league. John Stones and Jack Grealish will be joined by the injury-hit Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker as Southgate gambles on their fitness. A host of teams will have three players within the squad with Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal all boasting three representatives. Tottenham and Everton will both have two players helping out the nation with Leicester and West Ham boasting one. Jude Bellingham will be the sole player playing abroad with the Borussia Dortmund teenager rounding off the 26-man squad. There had been major questions over the involvement of Walker and Phillips with the pair suffering from groin and shoulder injuries respectively. Both players have rarely played since September but Southgate admitted he was happy the risk with the duo given the progress in their recoveries, something he was not prepared to do with Reece James.
