Anthony Davis has already told the Lakers their biggest problem

Anthony Davis has made Lakers aware of his issue (Image: GETTY)The Los Angeles Lakers continue to look like one of the worst teams in basketball through 11 games of the season and remain joint-bottom of the Western Conference along with the Houston Rockets – an inexcusable position to be in with the star power on their roster. With arguably the greatest player of all-time on the roster in LeBron James along with top-20 NBA talent in Anthony Davis, the Lakers should be challenging for play-off spots. Instead, they find themselves challenging for the number one draft pick in this year’s extremely loaded class – something they will not even receive after trading their pick to the New Orleans Pelicans to acquire Davis.Whilst Davis remains an elite player, averaging 23 points and 10 rebounds so far this season, his play has fallen off since he and James won a title together in 2020. Reoccurring injuries have seen him miss time, which has greatly affected the Lakers chances of success. This season, he has remained available so far, but has been used in a different position – at center – under new head coach Darvin Ham – one he does not believe is his optimal and could be of detriment to the team.This past off-season, Davis said: “I trust coach’s decision.
