BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans reveals vile note from homophobic troll

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans has revealed a nasty homophobic message he received from a troll, brushing off the vile note with a quick-witted response.

During lockdown, Owain became a household name in the UK when a video of him drumming to the BBC News theme tune went viral, going on to raise £2million for Children In Need by taking part in a 24-hour drumathon.

He currently has over 128,000 followers on Twitter and 108,000 followers on Instagram, but while he receives plenty of adoration from fans, there are a minority of trolls who seek to bring him down with hateful words.

In a social media post, the 38-year-old shared a handwritten note scrawled on a piece of paper that he received, which read: ‘You raving b***dy p**f, do you have to be so camp on TV it puts me off my meal! Stay in b***dy Wales were you belong [sic].’
