NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
EastEnders star Kara Tointon has discussed the future of soaps, revealing that she wonders how long they will sustain given the wide range of entertainment options out there for TV viewers today.
The actress, who played Dawn Swann on the BBC One soap, weighed in on the conversation during a new interview, suggesting that scaling serial dramas back to two times a week may allow viewers the opportunity to ‘catch up’.
‘You can’t catch up because things are moving so fast,’ she said on the subject.
‘It’s so lovely what they achieve, the serial dramas. To do the amount of work they do, in a short period of time and just keep going is quite a feat.
