NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
There have been a few changes since Elon Musk took over Twitter, and Doja Cat is learning this the hard way.
Since buying the site, Musk has attempted to clamp down on parody accounts after verified users changed their names to jokingly pretend to be him in viral tweets.
Anyone can now become verified by paying a monthly fee to a Twitter Blue subscription service, however the chief executive axed grey ticks and an ‘official’ label almost immediately after it was rolled out because it was an ‘aesthetic nightmare.’
One new rule that has been introduced is verified users unable to change their screen names – or if they do change them, it makes it far more difficult to change back.
