This is despite reports it sometimes crashes during the pivotal moment when hoardes of users are asked to post their photos. Instagram has been accused of copying other rival apps as it tries to keep hold of its stake in an ever-evolving social media market. It looks like Instagram is hard at work on a feature to take on popular social media app BeReal.
As spotted by reverse engineer, Alessandro Paluzzi, this new feature could be called ‘Glimpse’.
The Glimpse feature looks like a version of Instagram stories meets BeReal where users will be able to share a picture on their story using both the front and rear cameras. This is BeReal’s USP.
And just like on BeReal, you can only view other people’s ‘glimpse’ if you share your own.
