Kara Tointon is happy doing work away from EastEnders after leaving the show in 2009 and admitted she fears for the future of soaps
Kara Tointon has made her thoughts perfectly clear on a potential return to EastEnders – it’s not happening.
The actress, 39, was a popular figure as she played the role of Dawn Swann between 2005 and 2009. And while she admits she’s amazed at how long her character’s memory is sticking around with viewers, she’s confessed she’ll never return to Walford.
She revealed she’s asked about returning on a yearly basis, saying it’s by far her stand-out role to date.
But, as she continues filing for ITV’s new Carrie Grant biopic titled Archie, she said she can’t see her ever returning to the set as she’s enjoying doing “lots of other things”.
