The key Midterm elections in the US have brought with them a number of historical firsts.
New members elected to Congress, positions as state officials and state governors involve candidates who are members of ethnic minorities and the LGBTQIA+ community.
The successful candidates include the first member of Generation Z in Congress, Maxwell Frost, and the first Black person elected attorney general of Maryland, Anthony Brown.
Frost said: “Half of Gen-Z isn’t even old enough to vote yet. Over the coming years, we’ll see the youth vote become even more of a force to be reckoned with. What we want is bold transformational change.”
