Helen Dines, 68, is fighting her step-children for her share of a £4million inheritance property king Graham Dines, 69, left – despite a reportedly “strained” relationship with her husband’s children
A widow of a tycoon who died on a transatlantic cruise is fighting a £4million inheritance battle with her British step-children.
Car dealer turned property king Graham Dines, 69, was on a luxury cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Southampton with his American wife Helen Dines, 68, when he fell into a coma and died in 2016.
However, his passing has sparked a war between the widow and her stepkids – Elliott Dines, 42, and Louise Henry, 46, – with whom she had a “strained” relationship, after having begun an affair with the deceased while he was still married to their mum, London’s High Court was told.
While Graham’s son was handed his Rolex watch, Jaguar sports car and powerboat, the father decided to split the rest of an £3million fortune roughly equally between Helen on one side, and his children on the other.
