Nicola Sturgeon has been accused of failing to give a straight answer on a proposed new oilfield in the North Sea.
Nicola Sturgeon was asked about the Rosebank field by Wiktoria Jedroszkowiak, an activist with the climate group Fridays for Future. Earmarked for waters west of Shetland by the Norwegian company Equinor, Rosebank could be twice as large as the contentious oilfield plan at Cambo.
The Scottish government cannot deny the necessary permissions for development of oilfields but Sturgeon has intervened in similar debates, including by opposing Cambo last year.
Jedroszkowiak approached the first minister at the Cop27 climate conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. She was filmed saying: “My friends from Scotland, they are very concerned about the Rosebank oilfield and I wanted to ask
